Pencil Mountain is the studio ID of Architectural Designer, Cyclist and Videographer, Monet Adams.
I grew up obsessed with bikes and design and eventually racing mountain bikes took me all over the world. Initially I used my creative skills to support my racing endeavours however it soon became clear that I was driven not by competition, but creativity and story telling; sharing the magic and importance of the great outdoors. Fast forward 10 years and I have worked with some amazing brands both on the bike and behind the lens or with a pen in hand to create engaging campaigns and visuals and am particularly motived to work on projects that focus on environmentalism and inclusion in the outdoors.
There was a point that I decided to return to study my lifelong in obsession with architecture and building - I wanted to use my skills to do make last impact on people’s lives and well being and now I’m training as an architect. I hold a BSc In Architecture from University of the West of England and will be undertaking my M(Arch) at Cardiff University this September. I love building and getting involved onsite and have completed several of my own renovations already - as a result I am very interested in retrofit and sustainable materials.
